The St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most artistic pieces of monuments that
you can visit in London. This historic building has the work of many craftsmen
that have worked on different aspects of the building. From the paintings
inside the cathedral to the wood work to the iron work every things has been
done to perfection. One of the best features of the cathedral is the dome at
the top which divided into three. The outermost dome is not of any structural
consequence but is made as an ornamental piece to the cathedral. The innermost
dome makes up for the artistically balanced interior of the building. Between
the two domes is another which supports and brings stability to the outer
structure of the building.
Also another famous feature of the St Paul's Cathedral is the whispering
gallery that is located in the interior of the dome. The name as such is given
to the gallery because a whisper at any point on the walls of this gallery is
audible to any ear that is held against any other point in the wall in the
gallery. Interestingly enough this does not work against normal speech. All this
makes the St Paul's Cathedral a great tourist attraction in London.
